Theresa Caputo, known as the "Long Island Medium," has been a fixture of daytime television, talk shows, and podcasts since Long Island Medium premiered on TLC in 2011. Below are dated summaries of her interview appearances: interviews found on YouTube, her many television and podcast appearances, and selected press interviews.

Khloé Kardashian's podcast episode released February 4, 2026 (also on Apple Podcasts). Caputo explains what it was like growing up sensing spirit from age four, how she reconciles mediumship with her Catholic faith, how signs arrive during live shows, and whether departed loved ones are watching us "24/7." She also discusses dark energy and her warnings about Ouija boards. Kardashian's Khloé in Wonder Land is the highest-profile podcast appearance found at this writing alongside the Dumb Blonde episode below.

Released March 9, 2026 (also on Apple Podcasts/Podme). Bunnie XO asks questions "that haven't been asked before": Caputo opens up about the anxiety she faced growing up, how faith and her parents' support helped her accept her gift, misconceptions about mediumship, trading weightlifting for Pilates, protecting her energy, and the self-care routines that keep her grounded. The main blurb quotes her origin story from this episode ("I was built for this kind of work because it's not easy... my gift is guided by God").

Hosted by Sharon and Stacy of Discover Long Island, released around December 1, 2025 (YouTube upload December 11, 2025) as the podcast celebrated five years. A hometown conversation in which Caputo discusses "Long Island's spiritual frequency," what it means to represent the community she grew up in, and her love for the Island — recorded as she was about to headline "The Experience" at The Paramount in Huntington.

Scientist-turned-actress Mayim Bialik probes Caputo's skeptic-to-believer story: the anxiety and spiritual crisis of her twenties, why she says her brain "doesn't retain knowledge like that" so she can deliver messages without second-guessing, grounding techniques, soul transfer, past-life regression, connecting with people in comas, and near-death experiences. Caputo gives Bialik and co-host Jonathan Cohen a reading, and discusses the Dr. Daniel Amen brain scan she says confirms her abilities.

A 40-minute radio interview promoting Raising Spirits. Caputo explains that spirits age and grow on the other side (souls who died young "show me growing"), why souls shed disabilities and ailments the moment they leave the body, and her view that she "doesn't have to prove anything" — "as long as someone walks away feeling that their loved one is with them... then I did my job." She also shares the story of a large-venue reading in which she told a woman that "God took your baby" — a rape survivor who had prayed to lose the pregnancy.

Aired February 13, 2025 (Season 5, Episode 189, with Valerie Bertinelli and Ross Mathews). The YouTube clip captures Caputo connecting an audience member with his late father, giving another audience member a mustard-seed faith bracelet, and addressing a man's survivor's guilt over the death of his twin brother. The show hit series-high viewership during the week of her appearance.

The TLC web segment in which Caputo wears an EEG electrode cap while channeling at Amen Clinics with Dr. Daniel Amen, discussed on FOX & Friends in March 2017. Skeptics (including neurologist Steven Novella) emphasize this is not a controlled test; see the main blurb's "The Dr. Amen QEEG Segment" section.

After Caputo's appearance on Anderson Live, host Anderson Cooper recorded a web exclusive voicing his skepticism: "There's a lot you can say to a room of 300 people. If you say somebody here has ashes of a loved one, there's a pretty good chance somebody has a piece of jewelry with some ashes in it. People so want to believe in things, but I want to see actual proof." In a separate clip, Caputo missed badly while reading an elderly man who had lost his wife in the audience's front row.

Caputo told Letterman she had felt the spirit of the late Late Show makeup artist Michele O'Callaghan in the green room, and read warm-up comedian Eddie Brill (whose brother died of pancreatitis). When Letterman asked if she had ever been tested, she replied with what is now her standard refusal: "I don't try to prove what I do, and I respect skeptics." Skeptic Paul Harrison later critiqued the segment at length, arguing that backstage contact would have made the O'Callaghan and Brill "hits" unremarkable.

(An earlier Caputo appearance aired December 28, 2012, framed around whether "talking to the dead" can end anxiety.)
In the May 9, 2013 episode, Dr. Mehmet Oz and psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen performed brain scans on Caputo while she channeled — first a SPECT scan, then a quantitative EEG for the live demonstration — and Oz declared himself converted from "skeptic" to believer. Neurologist and skeptic Steven Novella analyzed the segment ("Brain Scans and Psychics," December 23, 2013), arguing the scan differences are "just noise" with multiple possible interpretations including anxiety. JREF's Jamy Ian Swiss likewise called the demonstration "non-science and nonsense," noting it was not even single-blinded.

Caputo appeared on the morning show to discuss the Amen Clinics brain test, saying "They did find that I do access a part of my brain that we typically don't and that my brain actually goes blank... It's almost like it flatlines. Like, it's clear as I'm channeling." As the main blurb notes, skeptics emphasize this TV segment is not scientific testing.

Caputo gave an emotional reading to co-hosts Sunny Hostin (late grandmother) and Ana Navarro (late brother, who she said was present when their mother died). Navarro was moved to tears: "Dammit, you've made me cry twice in one day." Caputo later returned to The View to promote Raising Spirits and address skeptics (August 2024, video posted to the show's Facebook).
Caputo discussed her Lifetime series Raising Spirits and the companion docuseries Beyond the Readings.

Caputo appeared as a guest on the Season 5 episode alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Glen Powell.
(2014 appearances: Season 11 episodes airing March 5, 13, and 14, 2014 — March 5 with Sarah Jessica Parker, March 13 with Jennifer Lopez.)
Ellen introduced Caputo as "the real deal"; Caputo read audience members (a woman reconnecting with her late husband, a mother hearing from her son) and was sent backstage to connect with guests' departed loved ones. The Skepchick "Open Letter to Ellen" (March 2014) criticized the show for platforming her — referenced in the main blurb.

(Second appearance March 26, 2014, with Jenni Pulos.)
Caputo gave readings to audience members during the After Show. In his 2014 memoir The Andy Cohen Diaries, Cohen wrote that he "asked for a few minutes with her afterward to see if Natasha [Richardson] would come through. Unfortunately, she didn't, so it was a lot of fishing." Caputo later responded that she "only spent 30 seconds with [Cohen]" and told the Des Moines Register: "Don't always believe everything you read online."
Simon & Schuster's author bio lists appearances on Good Morning America, The View, The Dr. Oz Show, and Ellen; the Sarasota Magazine profile adds The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Wendy Williams Show among her "showcased" TV appearances. These appearances are not all dated publicly.
