last wednesday on an nbc show called 'phenomenon', a paranormalist known as jim callahan did some 'automatic writing'. apparently it is a mistake to claim to be "an actual psychic" when criss angel is one of the judges. here's a youtube video clip of the performance and the reaction from criss angel:
magicians do "tricks" or "illusions" or, in the case of mindfreak, "demonstrations".. the entertainment is in seeing the "impossible" unfold on stage or tv screen. I happen to think that there are people that subject themselves to a take-over of their body by "spirits" also known as "automatic writing" or "channeling". this is considered very dangerous both for the person allowing it and anybody else within range (think spinning heads and projectile vomiting).. for mr. angel to say what he did to mr. callahan was uncalled for, rude, and unprofessional. I do not want to give anyone the impression that all people that claim to be psychics are real-- there is a lot of fraud. all I am suggesting is that not everybody that does these sorts of things is acting.
this is america.. you decide if (a) callahan is for real and (b) if he was entertaining or not
comments appreciated...
