this afternoon I fixed an issue with the gfile module returning "permission denied" for anything without a value in a particular field in the gfile table. this problem was found by google, and I noticed it while using their (still beta) webmaster tools. 

so.. google.. if you are reading this, please recheck all of the gfiles on this site, because I've fixed the issue.
